May 2008 - Goldcorp pours its first gold at Penasquito project in Mexico
Goldcorp congratulates the entire team at the Penasquito project in Mexico. The first gold pour is a significant milestone in the construction of this mine, which will be Goldcorp’s largest mine once built.

February 2008 - Charles F. Rand Memorial Gold Medal Awarded to Goldcorp's President
Goldcorp congratulates its President and CEO, Kevin McArthur, who was presented the 2008 Charles F. Rand Memorial Gold Medal. This prestigious award, presented by the American Institute of Mining Engineers, recognizes distinguished achievement in mining administration. The award acknowledges Mr. McArthur’s lifetime commitment and dedication to the mining and mineral exploration industry.
December 2007 - Contribution to the Community Prize - Honorable Mention to Montana Exploradora de Guatemala, S.A.
The Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce recently awarded a Special and Honorary mention to Montana Exploradora de Guatemala, S.A. for their excellent community development program in the San Marcos Department (State). The 'Neighbors for Progress' project not only provides economic contribution to the development of San Miguel Ixtahuacán and Sipacapa, but provides community members with formal education and training on how to administer a project and prioritize community needs. The project and training demonstrated that more can be accomplished within the community by working together.

December 2007 - Peñasquito Update
Goldcorp revised its development plan at the Peñasquito project in Zacatecas, Mexico and announced recently that mill throughput will be expanded by 30% to 130,000 tonnes per day and mine life extended by 2 years. This expansion follows a 48% increase in proven and probable reserves announced in June, 2007.
